Bold; outgoing; adventurous; spontaneous; diverse. These are the words that describe me the best, but of course to the world, you either weird or crazy. I’m the type of girl that likes to express herself through bold colors and fashion statements…..but not as bold as some of the stuff lady gaga wears. All my life I wanted and still do want to be that amazing actress that wins all these Grammys but yet being myself. The whole world and the media, to me, wants you to be this sexy sex selling item in order to make it. To me it’s really sad cause there are only a few starts that I know of that I follow that will stay true to their selves. To be honest it shouldn’t be like this at all. I know that when I was younger and to this day still, I’m very self-conscious about my body. So why would I want to look at someone who is the “Sexiest women alive” according to the media when I know that’s only going to put me down about myself even more? Half of these women that are “sexy” to the media are because of the fact that they have to be half naked, wearing something skimpy, or even something that shows of their big butts or boobs in order to be sexy. Why can’t you be sexy by just being you?
When I want to stand out and be bold with my taste in style and fashion, I always have my own lil’ quote I tell myself, “The world is your runway; you own it in your own way”. That cease to allow me to be bold, but then again the world is a ginormous critic. In other words, the world tells you whether you fit in or not, but yet we have adds that say express yourself….why is that so confusing, or is that just me? To wear certain things that you like and find appealing to your eye but yet it’s not what the celebs wear and it’s not “sexy”. Um hello, WHAT THE HECK IS SEXY?! For those that are reading this, I have a Facebook page that is called Dare to be sexy, dare to be you. This page is VERY self explanatory; it’s a page to express your sexy side. Like I said before, the media wants us to think that showing 95% skin or something that mainly exposes are boobs and butts (ladies) and see through shirts to show off our “pecks” (fellas).
Of course this is my first blog, and just a lil intro to how my mind works and how my blogs. Sooner or later, and if I’m able to I’m going to try to get some video blogs up as well. But don’t be afraid to ask questions and leave your opinions. Debates are not allowed on here, just open minded thoughts. Yes that even means no matter how conceded or jerkish it sounds, everyone is free to speak their minds.
